On Oct. 29, 131 farmers and gardeners joined us for our annual North Country Fruit and Vegetable Seminar and Trade Show. The program was co-hosted by Coos, Grafton and Carroll County Cooperative Extension staff, and provided a good end-of-season opportunity for growers from all over northern New Hampshire to renew old friendships, network, discuss the seasons’ problems and get excited for next season. BERLIN, NY — At the sixth annual 2014 National GrassFed Exchange meeting in Columbia, MO, New York State’s own grazing advocate and beef farmer, Morgan Hartman of Black Queen Angus Farm in Berlin, NY coveted the prestigious Innovative Producer of the Year Award.
The theme of the conference and of the awards was land stewardship, providing consumers with healthy food products and helping others. Cattlemen from around the country are gathering in Kansas City, Mo., this week for the first-ever Angus Means Business National Convention and Trade Show. Hosted by the American Angus Association®, the convention will be held Nov. 4-6 at the KCI Expo Center, just minutes from the airport.
